Why Matic may be a good signing after-all for Manchester United
As the speculation get intense
over the Manchester United attempted buy of Chelsea's Nemanja Matic, we want to look at his potential in rebuilding his game at a likely possibility of joining the reds.
Matic as we all know is one of the core engine room in Chelsea in recent years especially since the beginning of his second stint at Stamford Bridge when he was purchased in the January transfer window in 2014, he has since played 3 and half season with the Blues and the club is seeing him excess to requirements due to his dip in form especially last season and mainly because of their recent purchase of the Frenchman Tiemoue Bakayoko who came in from Ligue un champion, Monaco.
It’s not all down and out for Matic I suppose that's why the United boss, Jose Mourinho is coming all out for him at an equally huge amount due to his premiership experience and overall team play which will no doubt add a balance and reduce the dirty and intense work rate of Ander Herrera to simply avoid the cards and toil more on his attacking play. The ploy doesn't end there for Mourinho as purchasing Matic will also allow more freedom for Paul Pogba to roam the attack, better link up play, send more killer passes to the attack line and in fact be at a more comfortable range to whisk in some range shot of his own. These above all will bring more fluidity and freedom to the attack line up and get the strikers into better scoring positions.
The only flaw in the unrelenting gist in the transfer is the price tag which is rumored to be mounting up to about £50m. That, in my opinion is relatively too high for a player of 28 years who's form cannot be compared to the past, except the huge experience of playing at the highest stage in the game, but the consideration of the level of insanity in the transfer window which is now unprecedented is another food for thought especially when it has to do with the English team buying. However way we view it Nemanja Matic is one of Mourinho best option in the holding midfield role and due to dragging negotiation with Daniel Levy for Tottenham’s Eric Dier, this in my opinion is the best option for Manchester United now and I figure they will in all ways go all out for him.
