Q&A with @HotspurLane

I sat down with @HotspurLane to discuss all things Tottenham and the upcoming match at Old Trafford

Q) Let's start with the result in the League cup, what happened against West Ham?

A) I think it was pretty much as it looked. We were on such a high after Real Madrid and Liverpool performances and after going 2-0 up we looked in cruise control. We took our foot of the gas and West Ham showed us how much they wanted Bilic to stay.

Q) Do you agree with Pep's quote regarding its Harry Kane fc...? If not, why? The reason I ask would spurs be challenging for the league without him.

A) In a footballing sense, no. It's not just Harry Kane. It's more Pochettino FC than anything. Of course Harry is a great striker and one of the best in the world but I don't think we are over-reliant on him like we was with Gareth Bale. Gareth got the ball straight away wherever he was on the pitch, we now as a team work the ball to Harry in goal scoring opportunities because he's our best finisher, I wouldn't say it's Harry Kane FC. As a club however it is very much Harry Kane FC. I've never seen a #thfc player get as much love as he does. Not one fan can say a bad word about the kid. He's everybody's hero.

Q) What was your expectations pre-season vs now?

A) Expectations going into the season was that Wembley would cause us a little trouble, I wasn't expecting a title challenge again, I thought a struggle for top four - which could yet still occur. I really just wanted Champions League football again for the next campaign, a great way to mark our first year in our new stadium.

Q) Going into this week's game against Man Utd, are you feeling confident? Is a draw a good result for spurs against a United side who look fragile at the moment...?

A) Before the West Ham game, I was confident, not sure what bearing it will have on the players now. Although the majority of them didn't play. It's a chance to really set down a title marker and I am hoping for three points, because as you say they do look fragile at the minute.

Q) What's spurs biggest weakness and strength? How would you improve the squad?

A) Our biggest weakness, like most top sides doesn't necessarily come from ourselves but others. A team that can defend well can cause us huge amount of problems, we can really struggle to break them down. We are so much better when a team comes on to us, like Liverpool on Sunday and Dortmund in the Champions League. I would get more depth in the defensive and midfield areas, I'm really hoping we sign Ross Barkley in January, I'm very sure he would flourish under Pochettino.

Q) What's your top 4 picks and player of the year?

A) 1) Man City 2) Man Utd 3) Chelsea 4) Spurs

Player of the year - Kevin De Bruyne

Spurs POTY – Harry Kane

Thank you again @HotspurLane for your time and I wish you all the best in the future!
