I am happy to announce that I will be starting a podcast with my good friend "Calcio Joe." The podcast will be geared towards casual fans looking to get into football/soccer as well as fans that already have strong ties to the sport.
The structure of the podcast will be to have an "expert" speak to an "idiot." You can try and figure out who is who by listening, wouldn't want to ruin it for you! The point is to explain things that the casual fan might not know about the sport, as well as have deeper conversations for the fan who already has their team. We will also compare football/soccer to other popular sports such as Basketball, American Football, Baseball and Hockey to help break the sport down to fans of those sports or to give the die hard fan a new, interesting way of looking at things. Though Serie A has become my expertise, there will definitely be talk of other top leagues such as the Premier League, La Liga, Bundesliga, Champions League, Europa League and MLS.
There are many great podcasts out there that give great insight to specific teams or leagues already, and we don't want to compete with those. This podcast is going to be laid back and fun and entertaining and a different perspective on the beautiful game.
