Leipzig could look to prolong Emile Smith Rowe's loan amidst Arsenal interest in CB.

It has been reported very recently that despite him having yet kicked a ball in Leipzig, Emile Smith Rowe is being hotly tipped by the German press, to stay on loan for possibly eighteen months, not just six.

The backroom staff, including RB Leipzig Manager Ralf Rangnick, are seemingly convinced they'll already be that impressed with Smith Rowe, that they'll speak to Arsenal about keeping him even longer at the end of the season.

"We have such a good relationship with Arsenal" Rangnick said recently when asked, "that we can imagine talking to them about another loan in March or April."

This revelation has come to light around the same time that RB Leipzig savagely trolled Arsenal fans over the weekend for their dig at the club not yet fielding Smith Rowe. It seems not only did they not realise he was injured when signing for the German side, but also that it wasn't even a match day.

The story of Leipzig possibly wanting to keep ESR for longer than half a season also surfaced around the same time that it's being reported Arsenal are monitoring their 19yo CB, Ibrahima Konaté. Perhaps some kind of deal could be sought between the clubs in the Summer window...
