UEFA Champions League Round of 16 Predictions

Manchester United vs PSG

If you asked me a month and a half ago I would have said PSG all day long. But right now I don’t think you can look past Manchester United. Pogba looks frightening at the moment, Rashford, Lingard and co all look like the players we originally though they were before the first half of this season.

No Neymar and no Cavani to compound United‘s upturn in form, makes United favourites for me today. And who would have thought that when the draw was made? PSG however should be no means be underestimated. Mbappe and co can hurt any team in Europe and certainly have the tools to hurt this United team. The first goal will be key tonight, if United get it I can only see this game going one way.

Prediction: Manchester United 3-1 PSG

Roma vs Porto

Think this is one is incredibly hard to call. Roma haven’t looked like the same team that sent Barcelona out of the completion last season. Porto have been backed my many as the dark horses of the tournament.

Can see nothing but goals in this one, but think Porto will edge it

Roma 1-2 Porto

Wednesday

Tottenham vs Borussia Dortmund

Another unpredictable game, as obvious as it Tottenham with Harry Kane are a completely different proposition to Tottenham without Harry Kane.

Dortmund have been flying this season and are currently top of the Bundesliga. However as Hoffenheim proved this past week, their defence is there to be got at. As for Tottenham, no Harry Kane and no Dele Alli will certainly be telling.

Tottenham 1-2 Borussia Dortmund

Ajax vs Real Madrid

Funnily enough, when this draw was made Ajax may have fancied themselves after getting through a tough group and proving more than competitive against Bayern Munich. This accompanied with Real Madrid‘s struggles may have filled the Dutch giants with hope.

However, since then Real Madrid have risen to 2nd in La Liga and are coming off the back winning the Madrid derby. The European Champions will have too much for the Dutch giants.

Ajax 1-3 Real Madrid
